PHIL 9232B/9234B: AI Ethics: A Comprehensive Introduction (Winter 2022)

This graduate seminar course delves into the various ethical and societal implications of artificial intelligence, covering historical perspectives, the current state of affairs, and future outlook for a rapidly developing discipline. Through various readings, podcasts, videos, and other resources, students will explore this area, formulate positions on key issues, and engage in lively discussions in class around topics of the day.


CS 9147B / ECE 9660B / SS940B: Artificial Intelligence & Society: Ethical & Legal Challenges (Winter 2022)

The objective of this course is to introduce students to selected ethical and legal frameworks relevant to artificial intelligence, data science, and big data in the context of its societal, economic, and political applications in contemporary society. The course will be delivered by an interdisciplinary team of academic and industry experts in ethics, law, and artificial intelligence.
